Police Logs: Feb. 19, 2025

All information presented herein is obtained from publicly available Oregon court and law enforcement records. Every individual named or referenced is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Feb. 16

2:51 a.m. – Aleece Rochelle Woods arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear in two theft cases. Cited and released. 3200 block Main St.

6:52 a.m. – Franklin Luster Cutbirth III, 43, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in criminal mischief case, Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for probation violation, Linn County Circuit Court warrant for contempt of court and multiple Linn County Justice Court warrants. Cited and released. Also cited for driving while suspended, driving without insurance, failure to register vehicle and failure to yield.  44th Ave./Airport Rd.

11:27 a.m. – Errin Marie Montoya, 45, arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, first-degree theft and initiating a false report, 300 block Juniper St. Sweet Home police received a report of a motorcycle stolen from a residence on Juniper Street. The owner, who had not been at the property for some time, discovered the motorcycle missing and reported it to law enforcement. During the investigation, officers gathered information indicating that Montoya had unlawfully transferred possession of the motorcycle in a trade for another vehicle, despite not being the registered owner. The motorcycle was later recovered and returned to its rightful owner. Montoya was contacted and later cited on the above charges. She was released with a court date. The second vehicle involved in the trade, a Toyota Camry, has not yet been located, and the investigation into its whereabouts is ongoing.

12:07 p.m. – Sean Paul Treglown, 53, of Snohomish, Wash., cited for failure to obey traffic control device, 100 block W. Bishop Way, Brownsville.

4:11 p.m. – Calvin Gilliland, 30, of Sweet Home, cited for speeding, 54/35, 200 block E. Bishop Way, Brownsville.

4:34 pm. – Thomas Michael Studer, 51, arrested by Lebanon police on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in hit and run case. Cited to appear March 12.

11:07 p.m. – Deputies responded to notification of crash in 27900 block Hwy. 20. Upon investigation, it was determined that the notification had come from cellphone that had fallen off vehicle as it was passing location.

 

Feb. 15

1:25 a.m. – Justin Jones, 26, of Lebanon, cited and released on warrant after report of trespass in 26300 block Gap Rd., Brownsville. Report taken.

3:06 a.m. – Johnny Lee Stone, 32, arrested by Albany police on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear in trespassing case and failure to comply in false report case. Cited to appear March 12.

9:01 a.m. – Nicholas Ryan Shoulders, 35, arrested by Lebanon police on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply in theft case. Cited to appear March 26.

11:18 a.m. – Andrew Nikolai Vaughn, 18, cited for no insurance, Hwy. 228/Main St.

8:42 p.m. – Kyle Dawayne Roebuck arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in trespass case. Cited and released. 3200 block Main St.

10:49 p.m. – Hollie Lavern Gregory arrested by Oregon State Police on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for child neglect. Cited to appear March 12.

 

Feb. 14

10:24 a.m. – Deputy patrolled Quartzville Road to rockslide closure at MP 13. Conducted security check on equipment parked at location.

10:41 a.m. – Adult Protective Services reported elder financial abuse in 43000 block North River Dr. Sheriff’s Office investigating.

11:27 a.m. – Christian Michael Rogers, 29, arrested by Albany police on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in theft case. Cited to appear March 12.

11:30 a.m. – Deputy conducted investigation into report of sex offense involving online data being shared with minor. According to Sheriff’s Office, this involves an online relationship between a 17-year-old and a 23-year-old that has included “intimate” messages transferred back and forth. One party lives out of state. Deputies investigating.100 block N. Main St., Brownsville. Report taken.

12:20 p.m. – Deputies responded to report of two males yelling at each other at Marks Ridge 200 Gate before walking down logging road. Deputies located males, who had had loud verbal altercation but had since calmed down. Nothing criminal.

2:45 p.m. – Samantha Leann Stotz, 33, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply in theft case after she turned herself in at Sweet Home Police Department, 1950 Main St. Cited and released.

5:02 p.m. – Caller reported hit and run in 1500 block Main St. Officer responded but was unable to locate either vehicle involved in incident.

7:39 p.m. – Kaelen Taeler Stansbury, 22, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply in disorderly conduct case. Cited and released. Hwy. 228/2nd Ave.

 

Feb. 13

8:39 a.m. – Deputies responded to report of theft in 43500 block Wiley Creek Dr. An unknown person entered a shop and stole three Stihl chainsaws. Total value about $3,000. Report taken.

12:06 p.m. – Matthew Mosley cited for careless driving, Safeway parking lot, 1500 block Main St.

2:07 p.m. – Nicholas Tyler Gray, 37, arrested for third-degree assault and first-degree mistreatment, 3500 block Flanigans Rd. Lodged at Linn County Jail. Sweet Home police received a referral on Feb. 11 alleging child abuse. Following a forensic interview at ABC House on Feb. 12, statements provided by the child and a witness led to the determination that probable cause existed for Gray’s arrest. On Feb. 13, officers contacted Gray at his residence. He was taken into custody and later booked into Linn County Jail on the above charges.

3:03 p.m. – Sheri Yvonne Bower, 52, arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in trespassing case, 1900 block Main St. Cited and released after being told she had until 4 p.m. to move along.

3:28 p.m. – Sheriff’s Office conducted death investigation in 40100 block Hwy. 228. Male, 50,  found deceased in the garage at his residence. According to Sheriff’s Office, overdose suspected. Investigation continuing. Report taken.

4:57 p.m. – Leanna Kay Lynn Smith, 38, arrested by Albany police on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply in resisting arrest case. Cited to appear March 12.

6:46 p.m. – Sheriff’s Office conducted death investigation in 40700 block Hwy. Male, 70, was found deceased in his bed by his daughter, 50.

9:45 p.m. – Jared Brennan, 38, cited for driving uninsured, 3200 block Main St.

10:08 p.m. – Officer responded to request for help from Linn County Sheriff’s Office at 130 W. Holley Rd., where two males were experiencing medical emergencies.  One male was transported by medics to Lebanon Community Hospital, while the other declined transport. Evidence at the scene suggested the incidents were overdose-related. Police said. Narcotics were seized as part of the investigation.

11:47 p.m. – Brenna Candler, 44, of Lebanon, arrested on outstanding warrant after being spotted walking in 27600 block Hwy. 20. Report taken.

11:48 p.m. – Deputy stopped to check on vehicle parked hazardously at Hwy. 20/Liberty Rd. While at scene, owner arrived with gasoline and vehicle was removed without issue.

 

Feb. 12

4:41 a.m. – Kevin Earl Terwilliger, 61, arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court. Cited and released. 22nd Ave./Nandina St.

9:01 a.m. – Nicholas Scott Warren arrested on 12 Sweet Home Municipal Court warrants for failure to comply in theft case, and failure to appear in a theft, an offensive littering, two reckless burning and six trespass cases. Also cited on Linn County Justice Court warrant in providing false information to police case. Sweet Home Police Department, 1950 Main St. Cited and released.

11:10 a.m. – Caller reported theft of batteries from machinery in 46300 block Quartzville Rd. These were two large heavy equipment batteries that were on equipment parked for cleaning up the landslide at MP 13 on Quartzville Road. Valued at $800. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.

2:08 p.m. – Kennedy Gonzalez arrested for disorderly conduct in 3000 block Main St. Half an hour earlier, multiple callers reported female jumping in front of traffic in area of Main St./Clark Mill Rd. Officer responded to find female no longer in road. But at 2:08, callers reported that Gonzalez, now shirtless, was punching the air and stumbling into traffic.  Cited and released.

4:07 p.m. – Patrick Savolt, 75, and Kasi Lynn Savolt, 61, arrested for third-degree assault and second-degree criminal trespass after caller reported that their neighbor was drunk and trying to fight them. A second caller reported that she had assisted in breaking up a disturbance in 1200 block 46th Ave.

 

Feb. 11

8:46 a.m. – Caller reported fraudulent Verizon account opened in their name. 400 block Kay Ave., Brownsville. Report taken.

10:19 a.m. – Caller reported that she “woke up naked” in her living room and was unsure how she got there. She believed she may have been attacked. Refused to leave with medics. Investigation continuing.  3100 block Main St.

10:27 a.m. – Caller reported neighbor playing music “loudly,” an ongoing issue for the past two months. Officer responded, contacted male, who agree to turn down music. 200 block Osage St.

11:42 a.m. – Isaiah Martinez, 32, of Eugene cited for speeding; 53/35, 100 block Bishop Way.

2:23 p.m. – Caller reported brush piles being dumped along Childers Road, near Brush Creek Road.  Report taken.

2:39 p.m. – Joseph Gene Salley arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in driving while suspended case. Cited and released.

3:19 p.m. – Deputy took report on illegally cut tree in 46200 block Old Hufford Dr.

4:11 p.m. – Deputy took report on illegally cut and burned tree on shoulder of Shot Pouch/Old Hufford Dr.

7:27 p.m. – Kaitlin Chandra Lagene Lay, 28, arrested on Lebanon Municipal Court warrant for contempt of court. Cited and released. 1600 block Long St.

9:31 p.m. – George Earl Scott Shawn Dunn, 22, arrested by Linn County Sheriff’s Office on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in a criminal trespass case. Cited to appear March 12.

 

Feb. 10

2:40 a.m. – Malury Rose Martin, 22, arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Office on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply in DUII case. Cited to appear on Feb. 26.

9:49 a.m. – Bradley John Wright arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply in hit-and-run case after Wright turned himself in at Police Station, 1950 Main St. Cited and released.

10:01 a.m. – Caller reported that student accidentally consumed marijuana brownie at Oak Heights Elementary School, 600 block Elm St. Child was fine; parents and DHS advised.

2:42 p.m. – Shawn Romay Wixon, 65, arrested by Lebanon police on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply in theft case. Cited to appear Feb. 26.

4:19 p.m. – Kevin Jay Crooks, 31, arrested by Albany police on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to comply in theft case. Cited to appear Feb. 26.

11:14 p.m. – Sheriff’s Office responded to report of hit-and-run, 43500 block Wiley Creek Dr.

Older blue Ford Excursion was seen making a turn in the area and hit caller’s roadside fence and mailbox. Undetermined cost of damage. Investigation ongoing. Report taken.

 

Feb. 9

10:49 a.m. – Dustin Andrew Clarneau, 50, arrested by Linn County Sheriff’s Office on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in criminal mischief case. Cited to appear Feb. 26.

11:31 a.m. – Caller reported that dog had jumped into their vehicle and they could not locate owner. Officer responded, located chip and owner was notified to come pick up dog.  Strawberry Loop.

8:31 p.m. – Jared DeForrest McCorkhill, 25, arrested on Sweet Home Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in criminal mischief case. Cited and released. 1200 block Main St.
