Huskies overcome adverse track conditions in warm-up meet

Sweet Home’s track and field athletes got a warm-up Thursday, March 20, that wasn’t very warm.

The Huskies held an intrasquad meet to give newcomers a chance to experience a track meet and basically get them conditioned to competing in less-than-ideal conditions, Coach Nathan Whitfield said.

The weather was cold and very wet. The meet included no relays, and distance and hurdles events were over shorter distances than normal.
