Proponents file ballot initiatives to move hard liquor sales from state stores to grocers

Similar campaigns to privatize OLCC’s monopoly have failed in the past.

Two men filed ballot initiatives April 22 for 2026 and 2028 that would allow grocers to sell hard liquor.

It is unclear who the chief petitioners, David John Allison and Kyle LoCascio, both of Portland, represent. Neither immediately responded to phone calls.
