Oregon’s plane history display in Portland has local ties

Soar through the history of aviation in the Oregon Historical Society’s newest exhibition, “She Flies with Her Own Wings: Oregon’s Golden Age of Aviation.”

Designed by Les Long, the “Wimpy” Longster was one of the first successful low-wing homebuilt designs. The plane is on loan to OHS from the Oregon Aviation Historical Society & Museum.
