Valerie Jean McCool, 75, of Sweet Home, passed away Sept. 4, 2025.
She was born May 26, 1950, to Jean (Loppenthine) and Charles Holcomb in San Louis Obispo, Calif.
She worked in the marketing industry for many years. Valerie married Scott McCool in Las Vegas on Jan. 15, 2010.
Valerie liked to cook, go crabbing at the coast, enjoyed horseback riding and competition riding, and loved to garden.
She is survived by her husband, Scott McCool of Sweet Home; daughter Chelsea Elsberry of Reno, Nev.; and brother Dick Holcomb of Yreka, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Jay Lane.
