Donald Blankenship

Donald Blankenship, 73, of Sweet Home, passed away Sept. 13, 2025.
He was born June 11, 1952, to Helen L. (Hill) and Boyd L.D. Blankenship in Hector, Ark.
He graduated from Sweet Home High School and attended Kirkland Northwest Bible College and Oral Roberts Bible College in Tulsa, Okla.
Donald was a restaurant cook; his last job was at the Taft Home in Portland. He moved back to Sweet Home in 2015.
Donald loved his agates. He enjoyed going to the lake and finding strange wood to whittle. He liked plants of all kinds. He was a very good artist, using oil paint as his medium. Donald also played the piano and was very talented.
He is survived by his brother, Paul Blankenship of Shedd, and sister Charolette (Leach) Popovic of Yuma, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Boyd Blankenship; and sister Janice Majors.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Kings Chapel, 65 West Grant St., Lebanon.
