Darlene Joyce Wilson, 90, of Sweet Home, passed away Oct. 24, 2025.
She was born Feb. 5, 1935, to Ida Mae (Brummett) and Francis I. Burnside in Tacoma, Wash.
She moved with her husband Donald B. Wilson all over the United States, as he was a blaster in dam construction. They came to Sweet Home in 1979 to retire. Darlene was a happy homemaker.
She attended Church of Christ in Sweet Home.
Darlene liked to cook and make cakes for family occasions including wedding cakes. She did various crafts, and collected items for bazaars. She loved her rose garden and enjoyed playing pinochle at the senior center.
She is survived by her children, LaDonna Chafin of Sweet Home; Barbara Kragness of Sweet Home; and David Wilson of Albany; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wilson (1995); and son Michael Wilson.
Donations in memory of Darlene can be made to Sweet Home Senior Center.
