Dear Editor: It takes a thief

Editor:

Our non profit group makes and sells wreaths this time of year.

Every year for the last six years, the first wreath is placed on the grave of a wonderful friend to honor her.

Last Monday, I took that wreath and placed it on her grave. Two days later her husband went to visit the grave and the only thing there was the red ribbon. Someone had stolen the wreath.

It’s bad enough to be a thief but to steal something from a grave is a new low.

I’d hope you would feel shame, but I doubt it.  You not only stole something, you hurt the people who created the wreath in her honor.
