Warriors secure top honors

Lebanon High School JROTC cadets won the LTC Gary G. Banks Memorial Trophy for the second year in a row after competing against teams throughout Oregon and Washington in the Cascade Mountain League Championship.

Warriors earned the following recognitions:

The Lebanon FFA earned first place in the district competition for ag mechanics, which promotes skills in welding, machinery repair, electrical systems and structural projects.

 

Senior Tessa Thompson was awarded the Oregon State University Presidential Scholarship for $10,000 a year.

This is the university’s most prestigious and competitive scholarship, giving up to $40,000 total to new resident freshmen students attending the Corvallis or Bend campuses.

Oregon students must have a minimum 3.85 unweighted high school GPA and/or a minimum 4.20 weighted high school GPA. They are evaluated on their accomplishments, contributions, experiences and talents, as well as their social and personal achievements, and participation in activities demonstrating academic potential, leadership abilities and commitment to service.
