Lebanon’s boys finished their tennis season at the Mid-Willamette Conference championships, with two doubles teams making the second round of the tournament.
Nick McLoed and Abram Fitchett, both sophomores, beat South Albany’s Hayden Trudell and Talmage Dennett 6-4, 6-4 in the second round after a first-round bye, then lost 6-0, 6-1 to No. 1 seeds Grae Koller and Michael Greschner of Corvallis in the third.
Also in doubles competition, seniors Ryan Robinson and Hunter Jacobsen beat Dallas’ Charlie Moes and Lucas Boyechko of Dallas 6-3, 6-2 in the first round, then downed Carter Ly and Guillermo Arriola Rosales of McKay 6-3, 6-2 before falling 7-5, 6-2 to Shane Ong and Jason Ong of Crescent Valley, who were seeded sixth.
Seniors Landyn Whitney and Silas Fitchett fell 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 to Sam Bladon and CJ Niedermeyer of Crescent Valley.
Joshua Allydice and Benjamin Klinger, both sophomores, fell 6-3, 6-2 to Kyan Suttle and Brayden Smith of McKay.
In singles, junior Micah Zderad beat Gage Penselin of West Albany 6-4, 6-0 in the first round, then lost to Nathan Power of Crescent Valley 6-2, 6-1 in the second.
Junior Daniel Doerzapf beat Silverton’s Noah Starrs 6-2, 6-1 in the first round, then fell to Keven Montes of South Albany 6-0, 6-4 in the second.
Also in singles, sophomore Kadyn Hall lost 6-1, 6-1 to Giovanni De Jesus of Woodburn in the second round after a first-round bye.
Freshman Colton Parrish fell 6-0, 6-0 to Kellen Reeve of Corvallis in the first round.
