The Sweet Home City Council approved the official naming of Quarry Park during its regular meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
The park, located at 3101 Zelkova St., has been referred to as Quarry Park for a number of years.
The city acquired the 233-acre property from Linn County in 2018. Giving it a formal name provides support for future development and marketing.
