Grant Street in downtown Lebanon has been closed for the second phase of the Grant and Sherman Street Reconstruction Project in the city of Lebanon, which began Monday, Sept. 14.
Grant Street will be closed to through traffic between 2nd and 5th streets through mid-October.
Closure details:
- The city is performing extensive street, sidewalk, and utility repairs and upgrades on Grant Street between 2nd and 5th Streets.
- This closure will begin at 7 a.m. Monday.
- The street section will remain closed for the duration of construction, but vehicular access to residences, businesses and parking lots will be maintained.
- Sidewalks along Grant Street will be maintained for pedestrian access to the fullest extent possible, but temporary restrictions may be unavoidable. Pedestrians are encouraged to use alternate routes if possible.
The city said in a statement that the contractor is aware that “business and residence access is a top priority for the city and will work closely with the travelling public to ensure that this construction process is as painless as possible.”
