Sept. 11, 2001 began “as just an ordinary Tuesday morning” 25 years ago, in the words of Sweet Home City Manager/Police Chief Jason Ogden.
“People went to work. Parents dropped their kids off at school or daycare. Police officers and firefighters began their shifts, and people boarded airplanes. Families said goodbye for the day, expecting to see one another in the evening.
“And then, as we all know, in a matter of minutes, everything changed.”
