Sweet Home High School sophomore Mason Flores has died after sustaining a head injury in a football game a week before, his family and the school district announced Monday.

In a game against Marist at Husky Stadium Monday, Sept. 28, Flores,15, was hit in the head, had a seizure and was diagnosed with a brain bleed, which resulted in his being air-lifted to a Portland hospital.
