Sweet Home Swimming Coach holds Academic All-State Awards won by his boys team (3.96 team GPA for the season) and girls (3.93 GPA). Teams that earn a 3.0 GPA or higher receive points for their team, with schools amassing the most points winning the Oregonian Cup at the end of each year. The swimmers were No. 1 among 4A schools on both sides. Sweet Home’s softball team also won first place, finishing with a 3.74 GPA, among 4A schools this spring. The girls track and field team was fourth (3.72 GPA) and the girls golf team was third (3.77).
