Acquitted Sweet Home Man Dismissed in Related Case

Derrek Leo Reynolds, 55, of Sweet Home, was dismissed July 1 of conspiracy to commit a Class C felony and conspiracy to commit a Class A misdemeanor. The dismissal came after a year of deliberations, as this case opened June 26, 2023.

According to court documents, the state alleges that on count one, on or between June 13 and June 20, 2023, Reynolds unlawfully and knowingly conspired with another person to induce or attempt to induce a witness or person. On count two, Reynolds unlawfully and with the intent that it be used, introduced, rejected or be unavailable in an official proceeding which was then pending, did knowingly conspire with another person to make, produce or offer false physical evidence.

This case, similar to his previous, was sat on by Judge Rachel Kittson-MaQatish who approved the State’s Motion to Dismiss on June 28, 2024.
