Albert Froshiesar

Jan. 29, 1933-March 13, 2006

Albert “Buck” Froshiesar, 73, of Sweet Home, died on March 13, 2006 in Corvallis.

He was born on Jan. 29, 1933 in Rifle, Colo., the son of John and Katherine Frick Froshiesar. His formal education was received in Colorado before moving to Weiser, Idaho, when he entered the U.S. Army and served in Korea.

Following his discharge, he worked construction with his brother, Walt, in New Mexico and various places. He worked for Cleveland Cliffs Iron Company in Colorado and retired U.S. Borax in Boron, Calif., in 1992. Shortly after his retirement, he moved to Oregon and settled in Sweet Home. On Feb. 14, 2000, he married Margaret Duncan in Sweet Home.

His favorite activities were gardening and working with his tractor, woodworking and building things.

He was a member of River of Life Fellowship.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughters, Kathy Trask and Terry Ohmmer of Sweet Home; brothers, Carl of Torrington, Wyo., and Jack and Walt of Boise, Idaho; sisters, Edith Malcomson and Caroline Schmidt of Boise, Idaho; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Johnny; and sister, Mary.

Local arrangements are pending with the Workman & Steckly Funeral Chapel. Private inurnment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
