Alene “Lucille” (Paddock) LaLonde was born on Oct. 3, 1921 in Hoskins, Ore.
She was adopted by James Gersham and Susan Lorilla (Putman) Paddock of Sweet Home when she was 10 days old.
They spent four days to travel from Sweet Home to past Philomath by mule and buggy to collect their new little girl and another four days back to the new home for the new little one.
