She was born July 24, 1939 in Wright City, Okla. to Johnnie and Sentha Rachel (Coran) Harris.
She moved with her family to the Oregon area when she was 7 years old. She met and married William E. Anderson when she was 16.
Together they had eight children. That marriage later ended in divorce.
