Alta was born in Hebo, Ore-gon, to Ernest and Tessie Lightfoot on December 4, 1917.
Just two weeks before her 95th birthday, she passed away on November 20, 2012 while in residence at Hawthorne House located in Salem, Oregon.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center, (287 SW Washington Street, Dallas). A catered buffet of the family’s favorite Alta recipes will be served with wine and beverages.
The family wishes to extend our many thanks and appreciation to Michelle Nixon and the entire staff of Hawthorne House for their wonderful care of Alta.
Memorial contributions are suggested in lieu of flowers to the National Parkinson Foundation, in care of Dallas Mortuary Tribute Center who is handling the arrangements.
