Alvin Ray Parton, 34, of Sweet Home died Sept. 16, 2008.
He was born Dec. 6, 1973 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He moved to Sweet Home in 1990 and attended high school.
Mr. Parton worked in and around mills all of his adult life. He provided well for his family.
He loved the outdoors, hunting, camping and was a big fan of NASCAR. He watched wrestling with his son and the Mickey Mouse Club House with his daughter.
Mr. Parton is survived by his mother, Shirley Parton of Sweet Home; brother Joe Parton of Sweet Home; half brothers Steve Parton of Texas and Roland Parton Jr. of Ohio; half-sister Sandra Parton of Ohio; Tabatha Harrington, the mother of his children and his partner; his children, Nickolas and Paige Parton; and step-children Shaniqa and Jessie Lewis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roland Parton Sr., and his grandparents.
A graveside service was held Sept. 22 at Gilliland Cemetery.
