Alyssa Mealue and Shane Ullrich are planning to marry on Aug. 14.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Marty and Rima Mealue of Sweet Home. She is a 2004 graduate of Santiam Christian High School in Corvallis. She is a student at Apollo College for Nursing in Portland, from which she plans to graduate in November 2011. She is employed by Avamere Twin Oaks Care Facility.
The prospective groom is the son of Roxanne Ullrich of Lebanon and Steve Bennett of Anchorage, Alaska.
He is a graduate of Lebanon Union High School. He served in the U.S. Army, and he graduated from barber school in 2005. He owns and operates the American Barbershop in Sweet Home.
