Amanda Marie Marvin and Justin Elliott GaVette have announced their engagement to be married.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Chuck and Annette Smith of Sweet Home, Oregon. She graduated from Sweet Home High School in 2001 and earned a bachelor of arts degree in education from Western Oregon University.
She is currently teaching English at South Albany High School and is the head dance team coach of the Southern Belles.
