Amelia A. Burns, 85, of Sweet Home, died April 23, 2009.
She was born June 11, 1923 in California to Mario and Maria Minolli.
She married Leland Frank Stone, a master chief in the U.S. Air Force and they lived in Puerto Rico and Florida. They later divorced.
She married John Wagasky. They combined families and later had two sons while living in California.
They eventually moved to Vegas where Mr. Wagasky was a lineman for a telephone company and she was a PBX operator at the Desert Inn Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. They later separated.
Years later she married Joe Burns, an engineer at the Desert Inn Hotel and Casino. In 1979 they moved to Beryl, Utah for their retirement.
Mrs. Burns loved bowling, golf, gardening and flowers in her youth. She raised a lot of children. She enjoyed teaching and making ceramics. When she was older she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, cooking and baking.
She spent time volunteering at the Senior Center.
Mrs. Burns is survived by her children, Louise Stone, Frank Stone, David Wagasky Burns, Dominic Wagasky Burns, Danny Wagasky and Terisa Tilton; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Damion Wagasky.
