Work on the next phase of the Ames Creek Restoration Project begins this summer when workers will change the stream’s channel through Sankey Park.
The Sankey Park phase has been broken into two parts, Sweet Home Community Development Director Carol Lewis said. The Forest Service is still seeking funding for the seasonal wetlands enhancement part of the project, which also includes paving of paths, striping the parking lot and landscaping.
