Harry and Dorothy Anderson are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 5.
They met in International Falls, Minn., at a Moose Lodge dance in January 1940.
Harry was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps, and Dorothy was a high school student.
After attending school at Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis and going to work for Scott–Atwater Outboard Company, they were married in 1942.
In 1951, they moved to Los Angeles where they raised and educated two boys.
Harry Jr. has a Ph.D. in chemistry from University of California, San Diego, and Gary has a degree in business from California State University, Northridge.
In 1981, Harry retired from the Lockheed Skunk Works in Burbank, Calif., and they moved to Sweet Home.
They have four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
