Ann Wilson

Ann Elisabeth Wilson, 82, of Sweet Home died March 1, 2009.

She was born Nov. 28, 1926 in Dallas to Alfred and Anne (Friesen) Schroeder.

She worked for Tyler Log in Wrangel, Alaska, beginning in 1974. She soon moved to Lebanon and lived there until 1998 when she moved to to Sweet Home.

Mrs. Wilson worked for the Gazette Times in Corvallis and also taught typing at Oregon Business College. She loved knitting, cooking and sewing.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Wilson of Sweet Home; children Rick Wilson of Custer, S.D., Doug Wilson of Blunt, S.D., and Bernita Rose of Lebanon; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and siblings Mary Helen Hemple, Mel Schroeder, Paul Schroeder and Clint Schroeder.

She was preceded in death by siblings Fred Schroeder, Estelle Wright and Richard Schroeder.

Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Pregnancy Alternatives Center in Lebanon.

A viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Sweet Home Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 13, at River Center in Lebanon.
