Anna Nolan

Nov. 20, 1927 – Oct. 8, 2006

Anna Irene Nolan, 78, of Sweet Home died Sunday, Oct. 8. She was born to Ralph and Stella (Johnson) Nolan in Lacomb.

She lived in the Lacomb and Portland areas until joining the Army in 1952. She served in Paris, France at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE) from 1952-1956. After leaving the Army she moved to Santa Ana, Calif., where she worked for 30 years at Southern California Edison Lighting. In 1995 she relocated to Sweet Home.

Miss Nolan was active in the Church of Foothills in Santa Ana and also at the Sweet Home Church of Christ. She enjoyed her friends, family, church, gardening, various volunteer efforts and playing Mah-Jongg.

She is survived by her sisters, Hilda Nolan Davis of Sweet Home, Martha Nolan of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Eunice Nolan Kortje of Irvine, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Sweet Home Church of Christ, 1825 Long St., Sweet Home, OR 97386. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Church of Christ at 18th and Long.
