Anna Roberts

Anna Lea Roberts, 78, of Sweet Home, died on Saturday.

She was born in Dennis, Okla., to John Henry and Mary Elizabeth (Jeffries) Wilson.

Mrs. Roberts came to Oregon from Oklahoma in 1954.

Two years later she and her husband, Roy, moved to Sacramento, Calif., where her daughter Janie was born.

The family moved back to Sweet Home for a year before returning to live 20 years in Sacramento and finally returning to Sweet Home to live the rest of their lives.

She was a Christian and always liked the Bible being read to her.

Mrs. Roberts was a homemaker. She loved to work in her yard and enjoyed swimming and fishing in her youth.

One of her favorite things was watching cowboy movies.

Mrs. Roberts is survived by her son, Jesse Dale Roberts and wife, Linda; sister, Darlene Herbert; brothers, Glen Wilson of Lynn-wood, Wash., Don Wilson of Claremore, Okla., Marvin Wilson and wife, Jean, of Lincoln, Neb., Martha Hegan and husband, Bill, of Tempe, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Roberts; daughter, Janie; grandson, John; brother, George Wilson; three sisters; and her parents.

No services are planned at this time.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
