Annabel E. Dickerson, 71, formerly of Sweet Home died on Jan. 25, 2011 in Sherwood.
She was born on January 23, 1940 in Los Angeles, Calif., to George and Rosemary Cress.
She married Paul Dickerson on July 28, 1962 in El Monte, Calif.
The Dickersons moved to Sweet Home in 1968. Mrs. Dickerson was an elementary school teacher and taught for a number of years in the Sweet Home School District. The Dickersons moved to Sherwood in 2003.
Mrs. Dickerson was an active member with the Sherwood YMCA and a volunteer at the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. She enjoyed reading, sewing, knitting and quilting.
She is survived by two sons, Brian Dickerson of Scappoose and Dan Dickerson of The Dalles; daughter, Juliet Chiamulera of Sherwood; brothers, George Cress of Longview, Wash., and Leland Cress of Boulder, Colo.; and sister, Janet Greenwood of Yucaipa, Calif.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at the Sherwood United Methodist Church at 22280 SW Washington St., Sherwood.
