LBCC summer exercise sign-ups
Linn-Benton Community College will offer a variety of local exercise classes during the summer term.
They range from Aquatic Fitness to Zumba and Zumba Toning.

SH school bands, choirs to perform
Sweet Home’s school choirs and bands will perform their spring concert beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 30, in the high school auditorium.
The concert is free to the public.
Public invited to chief’s retirement
A retirement reception for Chief Robert “Bob” Burford on Friday, May 31 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Sweet Home Police Department Training Room.
Cake, punch and coffee will be served. A card basket will be available.
Foster Dam Road closure on Monday
The road over Foster Dam will be closed on Monday, June 3, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to complete installation of safety signage on the dam.

Safety Fair to offer all kinds of free fun
The Sixth Annual Jim Bean Memorial Safety Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 8, at the Sweet Home Police Services Facility, 1950 Main St.
Admission is free, including free hot dogs and soda. Children can complete a “Passport to Safety”which will make them eligible to win prizes, including bicycles. Prizes are available for adults too.
The event includes free document shredding, REACH medical services will be landing its helicopter and provide tours, prescription drug turn in and a bicycle rodeo for kids which includes a free helmet to the first 100 participants.

Meals on Wheels weekly menu
Meals on Wheels, also known as Your Table or Ours, offers lunch at the Sweet Home Community Center to seniors over 60 at noon on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
The Senior Center serves a separate lunch on Wednesdays.
First-time diners are invited to come in and have a free lunch to give it a try.
Suggested donation is $3.50. All meals are served with milk, coffee or tea upon request and diabetic desserts are available on request.
The lunch menu on Friday, May 31, is roasted turkey with gravy or liver and onions, whipped potatoes and gravy, green beans and tomatoes, onion bread and chocolate oatmeal bar.
The menu for Monday, May 3, is turkey a la king with rice or Bavarian beef stew, mixed vegetables, spinach Romaine salad, white dinner roll and chocolate pudding.
The menu for Tuesday, May 4, is beef chili with beans or sausage mushroom strata, seasoned carrots, spinach Romaine salad, cornmeal roll and blushing pears.
