Meals on Wheels weekly menu
Meals on Wheels offers take-out lunch at the Sweet Home Community Center to seniors over 60 at noon on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
The menu on Friday, Dec. 16, is a holiday special featuring a rotisserie-style chicken breast or sliced ham with raisin sauce, whipped sweet potatoes, green beans, French bread and apple cobbler.
The menu on Monday, Dec. 19, is a holiday special featuring a salisbury or herbed chicken patty with gravy, au gratin potatoes, broccoli, cracked wheat bread and coconut treasure cake.
The menu on Tuesday, Dec. 20, is Southwest chicken or Western breaded steak with country gravy, whipped potatoes, sliced carrots, whole wheat bread and seasonal fresh fruit.

SHHS band, choir schedule concert
Sweet Home High School’s band and choir will present their Winter Concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, in the auditorium at the school, 1641 Long St.
Admission is free.
The junior high choirs and band will also perform.
Land Lab holds wreath, tree sale
Lebanon High School’s Land Lab will hold a Christmas wreath and tree sale Friday through Sunday, Dec. 16-18, at 31000 Landlab Road, Lebanon.
Hours are 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Free cookies, hot cocoa and cider will be served.
Focus group set on health in city
The Sweet Home Health Committee, in partnership with Western University School of Health Sciences, will hold four focus-group meetings in January to seek community input on the health of the city.
Student doctors from the university will conduct these sessions at 6 p.m. Jan. 10, 11, 17 and 18 at the Sweet Home Police Department, 1950 Main St. Participants will be asked five to 10 open-ended questions about health care and health-related issues.
Each focus group will be limited to eight individuals.

Democratic group to hold meeting
The Linn County Democratic Central Committee will hold its biennial reorganization meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at Albany Public Library, 2450 14th Ave. SE.
Elected Democratic precinct committee persons in Linn County are eligible to vote for local party officers including the chair, vice chairs, treasurer, ambassador and secretary. Elected and appointed precinct committee persons in Linn County are eligible to vote for State Central Committee and Congressional Committee delegates and alternates.
