Sportsman’s Holiday Jr. Court Applications
ATTENTION ALL FIRST GRADE students!! Applications are available for those students that would like to participate in the 2024 Sportsman’s Holiday festivities as a Junior Princess or Junior Escort. Applications are due by March 1st. We will randomly draw one boy and one girl from each of the first-grade classes in the Sweet Home School District to be a member on the Sportsman’s Holiday Junior Court (including charter schools and homeschoolers that are homeschooling in Sweet Home area). Couples Dinner

Flea market
The Linn County Fair & Expo Center hosts the county’s largest indoor flea market on Saturday, March 16, at 105 Opal Ct. SE, Albany. Over 85+ spaces full with vendors selling antiques, collectibles, vintage and one-of-a-kind items. Early admission (cash only) from 8-9 a.m. is $6, regular admission from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. is $2, children 12 and under are free; parking is free. After School Movie
The Sweet Home Public Library will be hosting an after school movie 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14. The movie is free to watch and the movie will be Trolls Band Together. For more information contact 541.367.5007.

The Pilgrim’s
Progress Play
East Linn Christian Academy will be hosting a play at 7 p.m. Feb. 16 and 2 & 7 p.m. Feb. 17. The Pilgrim’s Progress is a play adapted by Tom Key from the book by John Bunyan and produced by the students of East Linn Christian. All performances will be at Valley Life Church in Lebanon. Free admission. Donations accepted.
Scio Concealed
Carry Class
NW Self-Defense Education will be hosting an event Saturday, Feb. 10, from 12-3 p.m. at 38955 NW 2nd Ave, Scio. This class meets the requirements for training to obtain the Oregon concealed handgun license and the Utah multi-state license. Cost for this class is $50 for Oregon certification, $75 for Utah certification only or $100 for both Oregon and Utah. These fees do not include the state application fees. Oregon will be $115. SHOCASE GALA – The Golden Age of Music
Susan Coleman and Don Knight will be hosting a music event Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. The event will be held in the Sweet Home High School auditorium. Hear local artists perform hits from the 1940s, 50s and 60s, along with a night of jazz from Oregon native and globally in-demand jazz performer, Gina Saputo. Local artists include: Breonna North, Karma Holder and Luke Rice, Cathy Scheele, George, Cliff, Titus, and David Dominy, Natalie Hager, Ward Christman, Ember Ogden, and Scott Swanson. Tickets can be purchased for $15 with VIP costing $35. The VIP experience includes a pre-concert meet and greet reception with the performers, with hors d’oeuvres, and VIP seating for the concert.
