Park clean-up
volunteers needed
Try out your green thumb and help clean up your neighborhood park by joining fellow community members and friends Saturday, June 21, to beautify Sankey Park through a wide variety of projects including: weeding, habitat restoration, trash-pick up, painting, and trail maintenance.
The project will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meet at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, at the Upper Sankey Park parking lot, 877 14th Ave. Drop-in volunteers are welcome.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own work gloves, though we will have some gloves available for volunteers who need them. Little Promises Flea Market Saturday
Little Promises Children’s Program will hold a flea market from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 21, at 28028 Pleasant Valley Road.

Free genealogy class this Saturday
The Sweet Home Genealogical Society will hold a free class on using and learning about the website GenealogyBank.com at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, at the Genealogy Library, 1223 Kalmia St.
Visitors are invited to bring a sack lunch and stay for the general meeting, which starts at 1 p.m. Ardys Vaughn will speak on how to do research at the Family Research Library in Salt Lake City, based on her recent experiences there.

First Baptist offers
5-Day Club for kids
First Baptist Church will hold a 5-Day Club for children in grades kindergarten through sixth grade at 2470 E. Main St.

Meals on Wheels weekly menu
Meals on Wheels, also known as Your Table or Ours, offers lunch at the Sweet Home Community Center to seniors over 60 at noon on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
The Senior Center serves a separate lunch on Wednesdays.
First-time diners are invited to come in and have a free lunch to give it a try.
Suggested donation is $3.50. All meals are served with milk, coffee or tea upon request and diabetic desserts are available on request.
The lunch menu on Friday, June 20, is Asian chicken salad or potato and ham mini salad on spinach Romaine, minestrone soup, white dinner roll and gelatin jewels with whipped topping.
The menu for Monday, June 23, is chicken lo mein or cheese and green chile bake, whole kernel corn, marinated zucchini salad, multigrain roll and coconut frosted cake.
The menu for Tuesday, June 24, is lima beans and ham or spaghetti with meat sauce, country trio vegetables, spinach Romaine salad, cornmeal roll and tapioca pudding.
