Vacation Bible School at Hillside Fellowship

“Camp Turn Around” will be the theme for the Hillside Fellowship Vacation Bible School next week.

It will be held daily from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from Monday, July 18, through Friday, July 22, at 501 W. Nandina St, Sweet Home.

Meals on Wheels weekly menu

Meals on Wheels offers take-out lunch at the Sweet Home Community Center to seniors over 60 at noon on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.

The Senior Center serves a separate lunch on Wednesdays.

Suggested donation is $3.50. All meals are served with milk, coffee or tea upon request and diabetic desserts are available on request.

The menu on Friday, July 15, is country meatballs or roast pork with gravy, whipped sweet potatoes, lima beans, Spanish bread and a hermit bar.

The menu on Monday, July 18, is an herbed chicken patty or sloppy joe, baked beans, potato salad, a hamburger bun and a snickerdoodles bar.

The menu on Tuesday, July 19, is a “Friendsgiving” special featuring roasted turkey or a homestyle pork patty with gravy, whipped potatoes, green beans, dill bread and a lemon blondie.

Free lunches available for kids

The Sweet Home School District is offering free summer lunches to children 18 and under at the following locations:

— Through Aug. 19: 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Pleasant Valley Little Promises, 28028 Pleasant Valley Road, Sweet Home (breakfast is served from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.); 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Sweet Home High School, 1641 Long St. (breakfast is served from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m.); 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., around the back of Foster Elementary School, 5526 Poplar St., Foster; 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Oak Heights Elementary School, 610 Elm St., Sweet Home; and noon to 12:30 p.m., Ashbrook Park, 28th Ave. and Juniper St., Sweet Home.

— Through July 22: noon to 12:30 p.m., Sweet Home Junior High School, 880 22nd Ave. (breakfast is served from 8:30 to 9 a.m.).

No meals will be served at any of these sites Aug. 1.

Lebanon park concerts continue

Summer music has returned with Lebanon’s Concerts in the Park on Tuesdays and Summer Bands and Brews on Saturdays.

Inner Limits headlines on July 17 at Strawberry Plaza, 847 Main St.

Concerts in the Park series continues with Hank and Bill Shreve at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Ralston Park, 925 Park Street, Lebanon.
