‘Hippiebilly’ at
Farmer’s Market
Sig Paulson will provide entertainment at the Sweet Home Farmer’s Market Tuesday, July 4.
Paulson, a solo acoustic guitarist, plays what he calls “hippiebilly” music, a blend of folk, country and blues.
Community artists
to display at OSU
The 12th annual Community Art Show will run from Wednesday, July 5 through July 27 at the Guistina Gallery in The LaSells Stewart Center at Oregon State University.
The public is invited to a free reception from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, to celebrate the show’s opening and meet the artists. There will be complimentary appetizers and a no-host bar.
This non-juried exhibit is an opportunity for anyone in the community, regardless of age or skill level, to submit any art piece they’ve created to showcase in the gallery. There is no cost to submit artwork.
All artists are limited to one piece per person of any medium. The deadline to submit and drop-off artwork is Friday, June 30. Artists may enter the show online at http://lasells.oregonstate.edu/current-future-exhibits or bring your piece into The LaSells Stewart Center in person and fill out a submission form.
The Guistina Gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and is located on the Oregon State University campus at 875 SW 26th St, Corvallis. Parking is available across the street in the Reser Stadium parking lot for $1 per hour from 7 a.m. To 5 p.m. (free after 5).

Arts and Crafts at
SHHS July 8
Sweet Home Singing Christmas Tree will host an Arts and Crafts Show from 9 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 8, on the Sweet Home High School Walkway, 1641 Long Street.
Vendors are expected from throughout Linn County, the Willamette Valley and from the coast.
Food concessions will be available all day.

Solar Eclipse Run
in Sweet Home
A 3.5 mile Solar Eclipse Run will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at Sankey Park on 14th Avenue in Sweet Home.

Cost is $25 for early registration, $40 on race day and $25 for the virtual run. Early registration ends Friday, Aug. 18. Virtual run registration ends Friday, Aug. 11.
Participants can pick up their packets on Friday, Aug. 18, at Sweet Home City Hall, 1140 12th Ave. and on race day at Sankey Park from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m.
Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels, also known as Your Table or Ours, offers lunch at the Sweet Home Community Center to seniors over 60 at noon on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.
The Senior Center serves a separate lunch on Wednesdays.
First-time diners are invited to come in and have a free lunch to give it a try.
Suggested donation is $3.50. All meals are served with milk, coffee or tea upon request and diabetic desserts are available on request.
The menu on Friday, June 30, is turkey pasta salad or potato and ham salad on spinach Romaine, cinnamon applesauce, wheat roll and zucchini brownie.
The menu on Monday, July 3, is barbecued chicken or kielbasa with sauerkraut, both on a bun, Lyonnaise potatoes, spinach Romaine salad and confetti Fourth of July cake.
No meal will be served Tuesday, July 4, due to Independence Day.
Volunteers are needed for both kitchen help and meal delivery.
