Samaritan Health Services hospitals are now offering 3-D mammography at all Diagnostic Imaging locations.
The exam increases the detection of breast cancers and decreases the number of women asked to return for additional testing. The overall exam is only a few seconds longer than a 2-D exam an dmakes breast cancers easier to see in dense breast tissue, making breast screening more comfortable.
