Art Show (Deb Brock) – Sweet Home City Hall

Reflections on the West features finely-detailed studies of western culture, seen in such subject matters as buffalo, cowboys and Native Americans.

A reception will be held on Thursday, Oct. 12, at 4 p.m., at City Hall, 3225 Main St.

Fall Raffle

Sugar City Gleaners (formally known as Sweet Home Gleaners) is hosting a fall raffle Saturday, October 14th, at 12 p.m. All proceeds from the raffle will go toward remodeling the interior of the building, new sheetrock, interior paint, and other needed repairs.

Fall Fundraiser


Saturday, Oct. 14th, the Sweet Home and Lebanon Downtown Farmers Markets will be holding a dinner from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Sweet Home VFW Hall. Admission is $17 per person or $20 at the door. The menu features a tossed salad with beef or veggie lasagna, garlic bread, assorted desserts, coffee and water. A 50/50 raffle and prize raffles will also be available.

Shocase Showdown

Saturday, Oct 14th, at 7 p.m. SHOCASE is hosting a free to attend/compete talent competition with cash prizes. Performers who wish to compete must submit a registration form by Monday, October 9th. Forms can be found at the Sweet Home Chamber of Commerce, all Sweet Home School District schools, and on the SHOCASE Facebook page.

Special Parish Mission

St. Helen Catholic Church at 600 6th Avenue in Sweet Home, is having a special Parish Mission, “The Holy Eucharist: Shadows and Fulfillment,” from Sunday, Oct. 15 through Thursday, Oct. 19. Each evening from 7 p.m to 8 pm, a talk will be given by Fr. Ben Cameron of the Fathers of Mercy, on topics such as: “The Passover Lamb,” “The Manna,” “The Bread of the Presence,” and “The Eucharistic Sacrifice.” Confessions will be available at 6 p.m. and again after each talk. Bunco Party

Oct. 21, P.E.O. Chapter DD will be hosting a Bunco Fundraiser at the Evangelical Church Gym from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. There will be snacks, a silent auction, and prizes.
