Arrest made in Crabtree arson case

Anthony Allen Victor (AKA Lonnie Victor), 32, of Sweet Home was arrested and lodged in the Linn County Jail in connection with the fire that destroyed a shed, RV, and vacant house located at 36232 Cold Springs Road in Crabtree.

The incident was originally reported on Sept. 12, 2016.

On Oct. 10, Linn County Detectives located Victor in the area of Lacomb Drive and Meridian Road in Linn County.

He was caught with the use of a Linn County Sheriff’s Patrol K-9 and arrested on three outstanding arrest warrants for probation violation.

On Nov. 1, Linn County Detectives charged Victor with first-degree arson, second-degree burglary, and first-degree criminal mischief.

Linn County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with the Albany, Lebanon and Scio Fire Departments, responded to a 911 call for a structure fire on Cold Springs Road in Crabtree at 5:59 p.m. on Sept. 12.

Emergency personnel found an RV and a shed on fire at the location. The fire later spread to a vacant house on the property. Deputies investigated the fire as a possible arson. There were no injuries.
