Arrest made in narcotics investigation

On Jan. 28 at approximately 7 a.m., Sweet Home Police Department, with assistance from the Linn County Sheriff’s Office and the Lebanon Police Department, served a narcotics related search warrant at 1005 Mountain View Rd.

When officers arrived, they located three adults on the property.

During the investigation, detectives seized dealer quantities of methamphetamine and marijuana, scales, baggies, cash as well as drug paraphernalia.

A gun, reported stolen in 2006, was also recovered.

Tina Jo Winkler, 45, was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance -methamphetamine, delivery of a controlled substance, less than an ounce of marijuana.

Michael Shuman, 43, was arrested for delivery of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance -methamphetamine, delivery of a controlled substance, less than an ounce of marijuana.

A narcotics investigation was opened by the Sweet Home Police Department due to reported drug sales by Winkler and Shuman.

Tina Jo Winkler has previous convictions for methamphetamine related offenses.

Winkler’s elderly father was present during the search warrant service but was not involved in the criminal activity and was not arrested.
