The Sweet Home High School band won the Sweepstakes Award Trophy for the annual Christmas Parade Saturday morning, Dec. 2.
The Parade Committee’s Choice Award Trophy went to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Greater Santiam.
The parade had 18 entries, including the SHHS band and City Manager Ray Towry, said Sue Olson, a member of the committee. “It was the first time in many years there was a live band in the parade. Other entries played Christmas music, helping to add a festive air to the parade.”
The Road Maggots Motorcycle Club began its annual toy drive by participating in the parade.
