The Huskies defeated Cottage Grove 8-6 and Junction City 11-1 in six innings at home last week in baseball.
The Huskies are 5-5 in league play and 8-7 overall. They travel to Elmira on Thursday.

The Huskies defeated Junction City 11-1 at home on Friday.
The teams stayed tied until the fourth inning, when the Huskies offense broke through and scored eight runs. They finished with three runs in the sixth and then holding on to a 10-run lead to win under the 10-run rule.
Cory Hanks pitched a complete game, earning the win. He struck out nine batters and walked one while giving up three hits and an unearned run.
At bat, Colton Holly, Gavin Kauffman and Deggleman all had multiple hits, with doubles by Holly, Kauffman, Jeremy White and Nate Melcher. The team collected 10 hits.

The Huskies built a good lead, scoring six runs in the third and fourth innings, and held on for an 8-6 win against Cottage Grove.
Trailing 8-4, Cottage Grove put together two runs in the seventh to get within two of the Huskies before being shut down.
Justin Rice was the winning pitcher, striking out 10 Lions batters while walking one and giving up seven hits, including a homerun. Drayson Scott pitched in relief, striking out a batter, walking one and giving up one hit.
At bat, White, Rice and Kauffman had two hits each, and the Huskies collected 10 hits. Kauffman had three RBIs, and Rice had two.
