The Sweet Home Parks Board, the Kiwanis Club and local skateboarders are raising funds to purchase new equipment for the skate park.
The skate park, built in the summer of 2005, has served as a recreation area for most of the young skaters in the community. It was built by skate boarders and other volunteers on land provided by the Sweet Home School District next to the district offices at 1920 Long St.
