Jim and Eleanor Benner of Sweet Home recently celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Their children, Michael and Stacy Benner of Silverton, hosted an open house for friends and relatives on Sunday, Dec. 4.
The Benners were married in San Pablo, Calif. Both were born in Iowa and have lived in California and Oregon.
Jim is a retired floor mechanic, avid golfer and gardener.
