Bernice Reynolds

April 27, 1933 – May 1, 2008

Bernice L. Reynolds, 75, of Sweet Home died May 1, 2007.

She was born April 27, 1933 in Fall City to Samuel Albert and Thelma (Shadle) Morgan. Her father worked in the logging industry and so their family moved often to find timber jobs.

She graduated from Oregon State University. She has lived in Sweet Home for the last 30 years. She ran and operated the Millers Cave restaurant in downtown Sweet Home.

People there knew her as “Sam” and loved coming in. She had also worked as a caregiver.

She loved her many cats over the years.

Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her children: David and Bill Reynolds, Michael Belyeu and Teri Jefferson; sisters, Gertrude Lowden, Maxine Isabel, Esther and brother-in-law Ted Dietz and Joyce Greiner; brothers Jim Morgan and Joe Morgan; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her children, Donny Barnett, Lora Linderman and Merrill Dean Reynolds; and one sister, Margaret Duncan.

A memorial service for family and friends was held May 4 at the Sweet Home Senior Center.

Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
