Bethel Ann Terry, 71, of Albany died July 25, 2011 at Samaritan Albany General Hospital.
She was born March 14, 1940 in Lebanon, the daughter of Rueben and Icie (Brady) Simons.
She graduated from Sweet Home High School in 1958. In 1964 she graduated from Oakland Dental College.
She married Richard Terry on Dec. 30, 1961, and they lived in California and Medford before settling in Albany in 1970.
Mrs. Terry was a small business owner and loved crafts. She owned the gift store Country Corner in downtown Albany for many years.
She was a member and past president of Albany JC wives and a member of the Eagles.
She enjoyed gardening, flower baskets and a good poker game. Her debates on topics such as politics, Fox News and American Idol contestants will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Terry is survived by her husband, Richard; sons, Richie and Rob; daughter, Tammy; son-in-law Robert; daughters-in-law, Lynne and Shannon; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; brothers Terry and Rich Simons; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 29, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at the Terry home.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Albany would be appreciated.
