Betty Dickson Roberts

Betty was born to Clarence Cummings Dickson and Margaret “Maggie” (Stewart) Dickson in Albany, Oregon and grew up on Ashburn Farm in Shedd, Oregon.

She married Morris Roberts on Oct 7, 1941. He became a career serviceman and they lived all over the US and Europe.

Upon retirement, Morrie and Betty moved to Crawfordsville, Oregon where they proceded to build the house of their dreams. They lived there for 27 years on 40 acres, raising vege-tables, trees and cattle.

Betty and Morris moved to Redmond, Oregon in 1990 to be closer to family and were part of the Redmond Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris, and youngest son, Pat.

Survivors include: sons – Mike of Redmond and Darcy of Sunriver. Daughters-in-law – Sarah of Redmond and Lauri of Sunriver. Four grandchildren – Marc of Portland, Greg of Pittsburg, PA, Lia of Portland and Seth of Sunriver. One great-grandson – James Tyler of Portland.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 22 at 1 p.m. at the Shedd, Oregon Cemetery approximately ½ mile south of Shedd on Hwy. 99.
