Bill Russell Robinson, 90, of Fresno, Calif. (formerly of Sweet Home), passed away Friday in Fresno.
He was born in Fresno to Charles and Hazel (Ferguson) Robinson.
He served in the United States Navy during World War II and survived attack on the USS Wasp in the Pacific.
He lived for 32 years on Brush Creek Road in Sweet Home after retiring from Fresno City Schools.
Bill is survived by his daughters: Tova Blesh of Auberry, Calif. and Joanne Glasener of Kingsburg, Calif.; grandsons Matthew Robinson, Brandon Pettitt, Alex Martinez, and Wynn Pettitt; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred “Jean” Robinson.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Gilliland Cemetery.
Sweet Home Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
