Billy Eugene Nave, 50 of Sweet Home, died July 17, 2006.
He was born in Ennis, Texas to parents Virgle and M. Ellen (Stephens) Nave.
In 1992 Mr. Nave moved to Sweet Home from Arbuckle, Calif. Through the years he did mill work, was a machine operator and a dredger (for gold).
He enjoyed boating, rock hounding, mushroom picking, exploring the woods, camping, playing video games and mining gold.
Mr. Nave is survived by his partner, Sheila Nicholson; children, Estellina of Junction City, Christena of South Carolina and Sabrina Nave (Joe Wilson, Jr.) of Florence; brothers, Raymond Nave (Patricia) and James Nave, both of Safford, Ariz.; sisters, Joyce Hill (Delbert) of Safford, Ariz., and Nita May (Calvin) of Sweet Home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgle and Ellen, both in 1992.
Services were held July 22 at the Pentecostal Church of God, with a reception following. Workman & Steckly Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
