Billy J. Holley

Billy J. Holley, 64, of Rogue River and formerly of Sweet Home died on Tuesday, March 15, 2007, following a heart attack.

He and his wife, Carolyn, owned and operated Ilex Landscaping services in Grants Pass.

He was a master gardener who enjoyed both its clients and his job, but his wife and family were the things most important to him.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn of Rogue River; parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Holley of Sweet Home; daughters, Jennifer Hufman of Blanca, Colo., Lena Poet of Vancouver, Wash., and Dorothy Suitter of Baker City; son, B.J. of Veneta; stepsons, Willie and Troy; siblings, Betty Carpenter of Portland, Shirley Williams of Springfield and Tom and Dave of Sweet Home; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sons Phillip and James.

A memorial service to celebrate his life was held on March 19 in Rogue River.
